Try your luck in the tailwater section of Taylor Reservoir Dam. This part of the river is catch-and-release-only and offers a generous amount of large rainbow trout and rainbow hybrids.
Along with fishing, there is also a lot of camping near Taylor River if you need a couple days to recoup under a blanket of stars.
